Politics have always fascinated me… and I have enjoyed a ring side seat on the biggest political show in the world since John Kennedy came to Washington to be President. Politics has been my profession and my avocation. I enjoy practicing the fine art of politics and I am an unrelenting observer of politicians and their activity here and wherever I find myself around the world. I write about politics as I see them. I am a Democrat. I am relatively moderate in my political philosophy. And I am very skillful in breaking the code politicians use to present themselves and their views. I am a fervent believer in the power of politics. It does make the world go around. People may scoff at politicians or dismiss political activities… but they really do run our world. Political Update is my attempt to explain what is happening and why it is happening in politics. My readers discover my biases, my likes and dislikes. I do not hide them or apologize for them. You may agree with them or not, but the views expressed are mine and they present a reasonably balanced account of our times. I hope you enjoy them.

Hi Bob! We enjoyed the beer and conversation with you Saturday night, and now that I am back in Oregon I wanted to take the opportunity to read some of which you have written. We all very much enjoyed all of DC, and when you visit your granddaughter in Eugene I hope you will enjoy it too!
